Zweeds design posters

I landed on Anna Larsson's site when spotting the herbs poster online. But I have to say I like the 30 figures print of the human sceleton even more! Love the contrast of black and white. She also has two seperate figures, postcards and teatowels in her collection.

With a splash of colour

Again a great discovery in blog country: Mamma Tamo. A Norwegian blog filled with great pictures, amazing collections (that make me a bit jealous) and heaps of inspiration. Here you can see the results of a basic interior completed with funky colourful accessories. For future alterations to our home I'm definately going to keep the chalkboard wall in mind. Love how it is combined with a bright poster, a retro lamp and the hooks on the wall.

Lekker eigen groenten kweken

I love growing my own vegetables. As a kid we had fresh raspberries, salad, carrots, big courgettes etc growing in the garden. Here are some vegetable gardens found on House of Pictures for inspiration. At my place I currently grow lettuce, tomatoes (red and yellow) and beetroot (is that how you spell it?). My dad still has just about every vegetable you can think of in his garden.

Ga net even dat stapje verder

I celebrated my birthday this week and although we allways say 'oh you didn't have to' I like receiving gifts. Specially if the one giving has made a feast of wrapping it. I love making an efford of wrapping gifts by using stamps, coloured paper, nice ribbons. You can find some of my inspirations from the web on my Giftwrapping Pinterest board. Click on an image there and you'll find the source.

What a great kitchen. I like this because it only has the low cabinets and not the ones mounted on the wall, also places just on one side, lovely basic tiles that go all the way to the ceiling, big lamps and a rustic floor with rough edges. These are all basic kitchen elements but by placing them like this you create an industrial kitchen feel that make it just a bit more exciting. Plus when you're cooking you get the feeling you're still in contact with the others.

Who would have thought that combining a classic, romantic, industrial, retro, design, antique, brocante and modern elements in your home would give such an exciting interior. There's so much to discover that you just can't stop looking. I must keep these images as my Mr Lover often looks at homes with very classic elements that make me thing 'demolish and modernize!'. This shows that if you dare to combine you can create something exciting!

We've already seen a coffee/tea theme in the Polkka Jam card collection. But now they've expanded with these forest, bird and seed cards. Love the colors. They're beautiful to sent to a special friend or to put on your wall in a pretty frame. You can buy these cards in the Dutch online shop Een nieuw avontuur.

The O&G label is American but it would look great in an Scandinavian interior. The low chair looks like it was designed to live at the end of our diner table and the chair with the high back (in blue) would make great friends with my Tapiovaara Mademoiselle chair
